I have been part of 1st West Craven Scouts since I joined (not so long ago) as a Scout in 2012. From then on, I have moved up to being a Young Leader and now the Section Leader for Scouts (Although still very much a big kid!) as I wanted to give back to the group that allowed me to have many happy memories as a Scout myself and get me out the house for a night each week! Everything we do allows us to give fond memories and amazing experiences to the Scouts, many of whom go on to Explorers, which is always nice to see—we have kept their passion for Scouting going.

I joined 1st West Craven Scouts not long ago, and it’s been incredible. You don’t need any prior experience to volunteer – you learn along the way, and the rewards are so worth it. It’s amazing to see them grow and know we’re helping them create lasting memories.

Suzanne has been a dedicated volunteer with 1st West Craven Scouts since January 2013, taking on the role of Treasurer and Trustee after the previous treasurer retired. With both of her boys attending as Scouts, she has a strong connection to the group and loves supporting the amazing work they do!
